THE DESIGNERS
Lenna Vasilas and Catherine Vasilas are the creative minds behind GALANNI, an esteemed family-owned Australian luxury brand celebrated for its exquisite women’s fashion.
Drawing inspiration from their rich Greek heritage, each creation is a testament to artistic expression in sculpture and design.
Raising themselves in artistic households, Lenna and Catherine displayed extraordinary talent from an early age as self-taught sewing prodigies. By the ages of seven and nine, they were already crafting unique garments for themselves, captivating the admiration of family and friends. This early passion and artistic flair lead them to aspire to create and share their remarkable designs with the world.
Established in 2004, GALANNI was founded by Lenna’s long-held dream of launching a distinctive fashion line. Her imaginative and playful designs quickly garnered attention, becoming highly sought after by customers and boutiques throughout Australia. The brand flourished, fueled by heartfelt customer testimonials that played a pivotal role in its global recognition.
In 2009, a transformative chapter began with the unveiling of GALANNI's flagship boutique in Surry Hills, a beacon of luxury and creativity. The following year, Catherine took on the role of Creative Director, combining her artistic vision with Lenna's design prowess. Their collaboration transcended conventional fashion boundaries, propelling GALANNI into one of Australia’s most coveted evening wear labels.
From 2013 onward, GALANNI proudly held residence in the prestigious Strand Arcade, a renowned shopping destination in Sydney, further solidifying its status in the high-end fashion landscape.
